E-Commerce/Digital Store Consultant

We are looking for a strong retail/fuel retail consultant who can support our clients by providing strategic thought leaders on envisioning, differentiating, and transforming customer and operational experiences within their retail business.

The ideal candidate will be an expert in customer experience design, design thinking, and digital transformation and able to develop our existing and new client relationships. 

Role & Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients with a focus on experience-led digital transformation.
  • Plan, organize and execute Strategic transformation engagements ensuring that a quality, integrated solution is delivered in a timely manner, at budget, and to our client’s satisfaction
  • Act as an advisor to the delivery teams to support the delivery of other technology consulting projects as needed
  • Partner with sales and product experts to guide and develop propositions
  • Develop thought leadership in the Strategic customer experience domain and create tailored market-relevant Strategic offerings and propositions for clients
  • Use insights to lead client discussions and help shape their Strategic agenda
  • Establish cross-functional relationships within the organisation and with clients to be viewed as a “go-to” on the topic of retail trends, transformation, customer experience, and business operations efficiency.

  • Deep fuel retail or wider retail industry knowledge/experience
  • Demonstrable experience in Strategic consulting activities for complex organizations and delivering large scale projects and programs
  • Experienced in design thinking, service design and human-centric design
  • Working with cross-functional and cross geography teams
  • Working with senior-level client stakeholders, handling difficult conversations and resolving issues
  • Co-ordinating multi-faceted activities and deadlines, anticipating challenges, difficulties and pressure points
  • Evidence of thought leadership and innovative thinking
  • Possess strong knowledge & experience in the following areas/capabilities:
    • Experience in Site, Back Office and Head Office Retail transformations
    • Physical to Digital Retail Transformations
    • Customer Experience & Experience Design
    • Store Optimisation
    • Implementation of solutions using AWS, SAP Hybris, Salesforce, Adobe or other industry-specific platforms
    • Implementation of Digital Selling Platforms/E-commerce
    • Experience in defining Strategy and transformation roadmaps
