The energy sector is continually evolving, and this programme of work is a multi-year piece that will expose you to everyone from geologists to senior executives, excavation specialists, and modern-day technologists to build a state of the art energy facility. You and your team will be exposed to a range of interesting and unique challenges. Responsibilities will include -


  • Manage a diverse range of end-to-end procurement projects from across all categories in order to maximise value for money, in accordance with the group's procurement policy
  • Influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders up to Director level, including acting as a business partner to a defined directorate, working as a critical friend to help them solve problems and realise opportunities
  • Develop a pipeline of procurement work through proactive category analysis and business partnering with key customers
  • Apply commercial intelligence to find opportunities and solve problems for the business
  • Develop and analyse procurement management information to improve business intelligence and inform commercial decisions.  This will involve managing procurement systems
  • provide key performance information on a regular basis

  • authorise financial requests including Purchase Orders and new suppliers.
  • Facilitate the tender evaluation process including undertaking financial checks, evaluation of total cost of ownership and moderating evaluation panels to ensure compliance


You will also support contract management activities to ensure supplier performance is effectively managed and continuous improvement principles are embedded and monitored against key KPI’s.


This is a great role which will also see you manage, coach and support other members of the team including Procurement Specialists, Analysts and Administrators.
