Business Analyst - Power Trading & Dispatch
Location: Birmingham, United Kingdom
Hybrid Working Model - 2/3 Days a week
Day Rate: Up to £600 Inside IR35
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in power trading and dispatch applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in optimisation and scheduling, ancillary services (essential), trade entry, and power exchange processes. Experience working with National Grid ESO is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to application changes and enhancements within the power trading and dispatch domain.
Focus on areas such as optimisation & scheduling, ancillary services, trade entry, and power exchange.
Collaborate with technical and business teams to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions.
Conduct business analysis, documentation, and gap analysis to drive improvements.
Liaise with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with business objectives.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in power trading and dispatch environments.
In-depth knowledge of ancillary services, power optimisation, and scheduling processes.
Strong understanding of trade entry and power exchange systems.
Familiarity with National Grid ESO and related processes is a significant plus.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
