Paritas is working with a leading Advisory client who are undertaking a large internal transformation project.
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Transformation Lead to drive a large-scale digital and engineering transformation across the organisation. This role will play a critical part in scaling our engineering capability from a predominantly internal development model to a hybrid internal and third-party delivery model, while maintaining engineering quality, governance, and pace.
You will be accountable for shaping the target operating model, leading vendor delivery at scale, and ensuring consistent, high-quality execution across the full engineering lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Digital Transformation
Lead large-scale engineering and digital transformation initiatives within complex, enterprise environments
Design and implement a scalable hybrid delivery model, balancing internal engineering capability with strategic third-party partners
Define engineering operating models, delivery standards, and governance frameworks to support growth and transformation
Third-Party & Vendor Leadership
Operationally lead multiple third-party vendors across the end-to-end engineering lifecycle (design, build, test, implementation)
Act as the single point of accountability for third-party engineering delivery, performance, and outcomes
Establish clear delivery expectations, KPIs, commercial guardrails, and quality controls for external partners
Delivery & Execution
Oversee engineering delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives, timelines, and budgets
Drive consistency in engineering practices, tooling, and ways of working across internal and external teams
Identify delivery risks early and implement mitigation strategies to protect outcomes
Stakeholder Management
Partner closely with senior technology, product, and business leaders to align engineering delivery with business priorities
Provide clear, transparent reporting on delivery progress, risks, and dependencies
Influence and challenge stakeholders to adopt modern engineering practices and delivery approaches
Experience & Capabilities
Essential
Proven experience leading large-scale engineering and digital transformations within complex organisations
Demonstrated success scaling organisations from internal development capability to a hybrid internal / third-party delivery model
Strong experience leading third-party vendors across the full engineering lifecycle (design, testing, implementation)
Hands-on experience operationally managing vendor delivery, not just governance or oversight
Deep understanding of modern engineering delivery models (Agile, DevOps, product-led delivery, etc.)
Desirable
Background in consulting, systems integration, or large enterprise transformation programmes
Experience working across regulated or asset-heavy industries (e.g. energy, utilities, infrastructure, financial services)
Strong commercial awareness in managing vendor contracts and delivery economics
Key Attributes
Credible senior leader able to operate at both strategic and operational levels
Strong delivery focus with the ability to “roll up sleeves” when required
Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving transformation environments
Excellent communicator with the ability to influence at executive level
